God . . . is the one who invited you into this wonderful friendship with his Son, even Christ our Lord. -1 Corinthians 1:9 (TLB) The question remains, “How can God be just, mdash;that is, true to Himself in nature and true to Himself in holiness, mdash;and yet justify the sinner ” Because each man had to bear his own sins, all mankind was excluded from helping, since each was contaminated with the same disease. The only solution was for an innocent party to volunteer to die physically and spiritually as a substitution before God. This innocent party would have to take man’s judgment, penalty, and death. But where was such an individual Certainly, there was none on earth. There was only one possibility. God’s own Son was the only personality in the universe who had the capacity to bear in His own body the sins of the world. Only God’s Son was infinite and thus able to die for all.
In life God Blesses His children with talents and gifts which we don’t always use for his Glory. God gives us full Blessings that we don’t fully appreciate sometimes. These Blessing may be a healthy baby, a great spouse, a wonderful caring Church, a roof over our heads, food, a job and good health. God gives us opportunities to help people with family issues, their personal salvation, and a sympathetic, caring, compassionate ear concerning their health issues for example. We just have to give just a little of our time. We should always remember that the apple looks good on the outside but sometimes it may have a worm inside! We have to look for the small hole in the apple to see what is really inside. In people we also have to look for that small entrance into their soul. In people that worm may be depression or unhappiness, loneliness, fear, etc; So take time to talk with people and give them a chance to share themselves. “Even the dull and ignorant, they too have their story!” A person’s life may be full of sunshine today but lots of rain tomorrow. They didn’t need you while it was sunny, but now they need you while their life is gloomy and full of rain and full of depression. Don’t leave behind the opportunities that you have been given. Don’t leave anything behind including the half eaten donut!
May God Bless!
What a Great Day! How the Lord can Bless and surprise! I was off work today and it was my wife’s birthday. At Church we were so surprised to see our grandson Andrew who is eleven years old come forward during the invitation this morning. Wow what a birthday surprise for my wife! Andrew gave his heart to Jesus at a time that we will always remember which is on his Grandmas birthday. The signs that the Lord puts into our lives to remind us of our Blessings is amazing. It’s just like the beauty that He puts in our lives such as flowers, trees, birds, rain, rainbows, etc; events such as Andrew giving his heart to Jesus! You see in my family some other coincidental circumstances are that my grandfather’s birthday and our granddaughter’s birthday is also on my wife’s birthday! Also Andrew was born on the day that my mother passed away. The Lord brings one Home and sends in another little Angel into the world to deliver His Blessings!
As I made calls today to some members and homebound members of our Church I was reminded of the beauty of this world that frequently stays hidden in our every day interactions with people. Everyone has a story to tell if we would just take some time out of our busy lives to slow down and listen. And we shouldn’t forget either how important a sincere kind word or statement is to someone. Take time to tell your friends and family that you love them and appreciate them. That person can have so many life experiences locked up within their minds and souls. Think of them like a Morning Glory flower for example that hasn’t opened yet and will as soon as it starts to receive the early morning dew and dawn! It then will blossom into a beautiful flower full of beauty to share to everyone who takes the time to partake of it. It will eventually close and hold in its beauty once again only to share it once again the next morning! You can be the comforting dew and dawn in someone’s life if you only will take the time and effort!
In every battle you will need faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan. -Ephesians 6:16 (TLB) Many jokes are made about the devil, but the devil is no joke. If a short time ago I had talked about Satan to university students, they would have made light of him, but no longer. Students today want to know about the devil, about witchcraft, about the occult. Many people do not know they are turning to Satan. They are being deluded because, according to Jesus Christ, Satan is the father of lies and the greatest liar of all times. He is called a deceiver. In order to accomplish his purpose, the devil blinds people to their need of Christ. Two forces are at work in our world, the forces of Christ and the forces of the devil, and you are asked to choose. Billy Graham
