What a Great Day! How the Lord can Bless and surprise! I was off work today and it was my wife’s birthday. At Church we were so surprised to see our grandson Andrew who is eleven years old come forward during the invitation this morning. Wow what a birthday surprise for my wife! Andrew gave his heart to Jesus at a time that we will always remember which is on his Grandmas birthday. The signs that the Lord puts into our lives to remind us of our Blessings is amazing. It’s just like the beauty that He puts in our lives such as flowers, trees, birds, rain, rainbows, etc; events such as Andrew giving his heart to Jesus! You see in my family some other coincidental circumstances are that my grandfather’s birthday and our granddaughter’s birthday is also on my wife’s birthday! Also Andrew was born on the day that my mother passed away. The Lord brings one Home and sends in another little Angel into the world to deliver His Blessings!
As I was driving down the road today and noticed as I have so many times before how close some cars follow each other. When I learned to drive I was taught to give at least one car length of space for every 10 miles per hour that I was driving. That’s a save driving distance to give us time to react to the car in front of us should they have to stop suddenly. Shouldn’t we give our lives enough space to react to the temptation of sin and the devil? Don’t we sometimes speed down the fast highway of life not giving ourselves enough space from the temptations of sin failing to slow down and count our Blessings and be thankful for every thing that God has provided for us whether it be the material things, the Spiritual things or the friends and family that He has placed in our lives. If we would only try to “go placidly amid the noise and and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence”, and if we plan on having a family day on Sunday let it start in Church with our Church Family. Come to Church and give God a chance to Bless your week “and if you will look full in His Wonderful Face, then the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the Light of His Glory and Grace”
May God Bless!
